Venoplant® retard S is indicated for the treatment of complaints in chronic venous insufficiency, a very common disease with approximately every fourth person in the industrialised world being affected. Chronic venous insufficiency describes persistent incompetence of the deep and perforating veins in the lower extremities resulting in complaints such as pain and sensation of heaviness in the legs, nocturnal cramps in the calves, itching, and swollen legs. Horse chestnut seed extracts are the best documented medical treatment option for chronic venous insufficiency.

Venoplant® retard S strengthens vein walls, increases their elasticity, and decreases venous permeability. It decreases oedema, reduces venous inflammation and improves circulation.
